If you’ve been keeping up with the news, you know that it’s been a hit and miss week for the Republicans and the President. One one side, the Supreme Court upheld some aspects of Trump’s controversial travel ban until the now conservative SCOTUS can supposedly figure out whether it’s really constitutional to consider (hint though, it isn’t). On the other side of things, the GOP is having problems pitching the Senate version of the AHCA both to public and to a number of Republican politicians who’s refusal to support puts it at risk.
David Brooks of the New York Times suggests this as a referendum on the Reaganite variety of conservatism and the verdict is coming back as reject.
