I periodically like to follow this topic because what we’re seeing is the gentrification of [anywhere urban and pleasant in some way] all over the country and almost always, poor minorities get the boot with nothing conciliatory to throw in. My urban area has a Dr. King drive too; it too is a gentrifying district.

Rent control, rent control, rent control…ahh but the Republicans would say that infringes on the “free market”. How’s the market free if a significant percentage of people can’t even live in the communities they feel culturally closest to?
