Monarch butterfly in front garden

In Northern New Mexico, it used to be, many years ago, you would see them fairly often, then you’d hardly ever see them. Thankfully, they can be spotted a little more often now.

I once read a science article when I was little telling readers in addition to the fact these butterflies can travel all the way down here from Canada, “If you see a monarch, be nice to it, it’s traveled a long way.”

Happy trails, winged friend
